Dr. Ashraf A. Amir is a Consultant in Family Medicine and an accomplished healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience in medical practice in Saudi Arabia. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Executive Medical Services and External Affairs and is the former Chief Medical Officer at the International Medical Center (IMC), Jeddah. He holds a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA, and is also an H. Assistant Professor of Medicine at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah. Dr. Ashraf is the Vice President of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine and a member at large in the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) for the Eastern Mediterranean Region. He serves on the national health committee of the Federation of Saudi Chambers and is an Executive Board Member of the Gulf Society for Family Medicine. He is also the President of the annual International IMC Family Medicine Conference and the monthly IMC Family Medicine Club. Throughout his career, Dr. Ashraf has held numerous leadership roles, including with the Saudi Public Health Authority, the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, the Saudi Health Council, and the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI). He is a member of both the American Academy of Family Medicine and the World Organization for Family Doctors. Additionally, he has served on the Scientific Board of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for Family Medicine and chaired the Scientific Board of the National Home Health Care Foundation. Dr. Ashraf’s contributions to primary healthcare and public health are reflected in his national and international speaking engagements and a range of published articles and research.

Prof. Faisal Abdullatif Alnaser, a distinguished Bahraini physician born in Manama, is a leading figure in family medicine and healthcare leadership in the region. He is the Chairman of the Home Health Care Centre PO in Budaiya, Kingdom of Bahrain, and serves as the President of the Bahrain Family Physician Association as well as the President of WONCA East Mediterranean Region (EMR). Prof. Alnaser is also a former Professor and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Arabian Gulf University. Academically accomplished, he holds several prestigious qualifications including MBBCh, FPC, MICGP, FRCGP, FFPH, AFM (USA), and a Ph.D. He currently serves as Professor of Family Medicine and Honorary Faculty in the Department of Primary Care at Imperial College London, where he was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in 2017. Additionally, he is the General Secretary of the International Society for the History of Islamic Medicine, a WHO EMRO Advisor, and a member of the WONCA EMR Research Committee. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to family medicine and healthcare, Dr. Alnaser was honored with WONCA’s Award of Excellence in Health Care — The Five Star Doctor Award in 2018, representing the WONCA EMR region.

Dr. Zaidan did his Internal Medicine Residency training in Michigan, USA, he was elected as the Chief Medical Resident. Subsequently, he completed his Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship and Interventional Cardiology/Endovascular Medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Zaidan has been actively involved in teaching medical students, medical residents, and cardiology fellows throughout his career, and he has been awarded the recognition of the teacher of the year at Henry Ford fellowship program. Dr. Zaidan has multiple publications in the field of cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, including cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, percutaneous coronary interventions, and cardiogenic shock. Dr. Zaidan is an active fellow in the ACC (American College of Cardiology) and SCAI (The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions), and he has been a speaker on multiple occasions and has presented many cases and lectures throughout his career at local and national events. Dr. Zaidan has been involved in research, and he has been the principal investigator in multiple coronary and cardiology trials that include cardiogenic shock coronary stenting and special coronary devices. Dr. Zaidan’s areas of expertise include's treatment of a broad range of cardiovascular diseases, advanced coronary interventions/ stenting, including the utilization of cardiac mechanical circulatory devices, pulmonary embolism treatment, and peripheral arterial disease interventions.

With over 3,500 heart rhythm procedures performed, Dr. El Kadri specializes in the mapping and ablation of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as advanced cardiac device management. His expertise includes lead extractions, interventional biventricular pacing techniques, leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICDs, and left atrial appendage closure devices. Dr. El Kadri is a highly accomplished cardiac electrophysiologist with a wealth of clinical and academic experience. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo, Syria, and he holds a master’s degree in Cardiology from the University of Brighton and a PhD in Cellular Electrophysiology from the University of Liverpool. Dr El Kadri completed his cardiology and electrophysiology training at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, UK, in 2012. He then pursued a two-year advanced fellowship in catheter ablation and cardiac devices at the prestigious University of Michigan, USA. He is certified in electrophysiology and cardiac devices by leading international organizations, including the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS), European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the Heart Rhythm Society (IBHRE-HRS) in the USA. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS).

He previously served as Professor and Head of Rheumatology at the College of Medicine, University of Baghdad, followed by leadership roles at Mafraq Hospital and Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He is a co-founder and former President, and currently Vice President, of the Emirates Osteoporosis Society, with expertise spanning inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatic diseases, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, spondylitis, and musculoskeletal pain. He is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (MRCP, FRCP) and has contributed extensively to regional and international rheumatology and osteoporosis conferences and medical publications. She is Professor in Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University since 2007. She was a NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse) Hubert H. Humphrey Drug Abuse Research Fellow in Johns Hopkins University, year 1998-1999. She was the first to run an addiction clinic in a University Hospital in Egypt. Also, she has been the main contributor to the development of drug and alcohol abuse treatment services (inpatient, outpatient, as well as rehabilitation) in the Institute of Psychiatry, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Moreover, she was the first to start the education in the field of addiction psychiatry for both undergraduates and postgraduates in Egypt.

Dr. Buthaina Abdulla Bin Belaila Abdulla is a consultant family physician and the Head of the Non-Communicable Disease and Mental Health Department at the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), UAE. She leads national strategies for the prevention, early detection, and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health across the country. Dr. Bin Belaila has been instrumental in developing the UAE’s National Master Plan for NCDs (2017–2021 and 2023–2026) and overseeing impactful national initiatives such as the National Prediabetes and Diabetes Screening and May Measurement Month hypertension campaign, which screened over 110,000 people in 2025. She has also spearheaded the creation of evidence-based national guidelines for obesity management and cancer screening (breast, cervical, and colon). Her contributions extend to policy development through the UAE Investment Case for Prevention and Control of NCDs in collaboration with WHO. Dr. Bin Belaila’s education and clinical background in family medicine and public health underpin her leadership in advancing preventive healthcare and mental well-being across the UAE.

Dr. Margioti previously worked with the Athens Alzheimer’s Association as Scientific Supervisor of a Dementia Day Care Centre and served as Project Manager for several European research and clinical projects focused on ageing and dementia. Her expertise also extends to aviation neuropsychology, and she is designated by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to conduct specialised neuropsychological assessments in the aeromedical context. She is licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and registered with the Greek Psychological Society and is a member of the Greek Neuropsychological Society.
