Dubai: The 12th International Family Medicine Conference and Exhibition (IFM 2025) concluded successfully in Dubai after three days of insightful discussions and innovation in healthcare. The event gathered 50 top pharmaceutical and healthcare brands, over 45 expert speakers, and more than 120 scientific poster presentations.
Aimed at family medicine practitioners, general practitioners, and healthcare professionals, IFM 2025 featured sessions on key topics including gut health, genetics, functional medicine, liver and kidney diseases, artificial intelligence in diagnostics, palliative care, and self-care for healthcare workers. Mental health was a central theme this year, emphasizing its growing importance in public health and the need to integrate mental wellbeing into primary care.
Ambassador Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of IFM, announced that the 2026 edition will be held in partnership with DUPHAT. He said the collaboration will further strengthen the region’s focus on family medicine and primary healthcare by promoting knowledge exchange, advancing medical expertise, and improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Ibtesam Al Bastaki, Scientific Chair of the IFM Scientific Committee, highlighted the vital role of family medicine in preventive care and community health, noting that next year’s conference will continue to focus on mental health, microbiology, and gut health to help practitioners address emerging health challenges effectively.
DUPHAT 2026, scheduled for March next year under the theme “Reformulating The Future of Pharma,” will include five major segments—Pharma, Parapharma, Vitashow, TECH, and Startups and will introduce the first VITASHOW Nutrition Conference dedicated to clinical and applied nutrition.
Both IFM and DUPHAT are organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, part of INDEX Holding, known for its leadership in hosting world-class healthcare and pharmaceutical events in the region.
